Samsara

Samsara…..A date with destiny.... How beautiful the term sounds.

But when you actually come face to face with your destiny, it does not seem that beautiful. In fact, it may seem to be the most unpleasant event in your life at that point of time.

Imagine your life to be a straight line, with no curves, the ups and downs so minor that they do not count. So you amuse yourself with fussing over trivial issues…all the time convincing yourself that life is quite unfair…..Till one day destiny comes knocking on your door, and what a knock that is !

An accident, a bad news, a sudden change in life style, a rude shockSuddenly everything goes out of control, life looks unrecognizable, and you feel as if a giant wave lashed out at you, snatched you from your comfort zone and threw you in a place where everything looks strange. You simply HATE being here ! You want out – you want to go to the place where you were before.

Why does this happen ? Why can’t life simply go on, without you reaching unfamiliar and scary places ?

Well, that’s destiny.

While you are here, look around. You will see new things, you will find new people ; people that you would never have bothered to meet, if life had been the way it was.

There is a purpose of this whole turn of events. Search for that purpose. Everything else will fall in line.

The Soul does not recognize ‘happiness’ and ‘sadness’. It is an aggressively ambitious entity which has a sole purpose on earth – growth and evolution. ‘Happy’ and ‘Sad’ states of minds are products of your ‘Ego’, that additional baggage you carry around. It is totally unnecessary and weighs you down constantly.

Your soul will periodically strip away everything that is not required for your growth – even the things that you held very dear to your heart. It is blind to your sorrows, deaf to your cries for help. It mercilessly takes away the needless and redundant aspects of your life, in a quest to move towards a higher goal.

You have a choice –

Either look back and cry, which will do you no good anyway.

Or

Accept the inevitable and be a part of this wonderful growth with full faith that the end of your journey would be the fulfilment of your purpose on earth.

The choice is yours. Who says life is unfair ?

So next time, Destiny takes you out on a date, put on a happy face, smile and get ready for the roller coaster ride.
